havent felt so bleak about life since i was 16. if 2010 was light, my 2011 is looking quite grim.

i dont know if it’s a gift or what but i feel terribly sad and depressed over bad news. Japan’s earthquake, Death sentences being given, Freak accidents, the usual child abuse/rape/murder cases etc…it’s not even about me and i feel like my world is slowly crumbling (i know being dramatic here)

as i live each day, i am reminded by His grace and His constant love and mercy for me yet i STRUGGLE to give myself wholeheartedly to the only one who loves me wholeheartedly.

school work has been piling up but as i work through each assignment, i see a clearer picture of where i might be heading to in the future.

speaking of the future, who knows…who knows.. things always change. friendships change, perspectives change, priorities change…nothing is really constant in this day and weird-out age. i’m just too jaded to deal with all these changes that has already been happening.. sigh.

i need a day to pen down every single thought, plan and hope that i have and commit them to God. cos right now, it’s just too much for me to handle everything at one go.

until then, i am thankful for collin, glenn, addy, rach, ohana and my family who has been there every. single. step. of. the (unpredictable) way.

So……

I. am. so. stressed.

Currently in the midst of preparing my 15 page thesis on “rise of a post-hegemonic society: online alternative news discourse + social media and its impacts on nationhood and national identity” in the case of Singapore (something along those lines..). Never been so stressed/disorientated in my life before. Sigh, this is a VERY busy semester…and a moody one (especially when caffeine and timemanagement is no where to be found).

3000 word thesis proposal (due first week april)
1000 word research proposal for Researching Audience and Reception essay (due 1st week april)
3000 word essay on the (En)Gender(ed/ing) Globalization (due 7th may)
2000 word essay on Copyright (due 8th may)
2000 word reflective essay for Gender, Globalisation and Development (due in june)
4000 word research essay for Researching Audience and Reception (due in june)
(insert a 5 figure number here) word minor thesis DRAFT (due in june; the real deal (12000 word thesis) is due the next semester..)

i’ve been writing alot less these days.

i dont know why but i guess i am kinda at a point where i’m still struggling to come to terms with the stage of life i am right now.

graduating, drifting away from past friendships, thinking about the future that will hit me even before one can say ‘in 5 years time…’

really, life is passing by me every second, minute and hour.. yet i seem to have missed something every step of the way.

i need to grow up. i really do. so much of my silence and my struggle lies in the fact that i am still refusing to grow up.

when will i ever learn…sigh.

but until then, i’m thankful for the friends that have stuck by me every step of the way. thankful for mum and dad and my cousin who loves me unconditionally. thankful for collin who knows me more than any human being does (yup including my parents).

and i thank God for everything in my life. for I know that every step of the way, he is there….nudging me, calling me, embracing me..

i love You and you and you and you and tumblr. it’s the best distraction and escape…for the time being.

im taking the weekend off to hermit in bed. i dont even want to THINK
